So dera pintre
OUR VACATION HOUSE
Welcome at the painter's!
The name of our house is «So dera pintre», which means «At the painter's» in the local dialect.
The house was bought at the beginning of the XIXth century by our ancestor, an artist who painted in red the "N" of
Napoleon Bridge, suspended in a basket 80 m above the river. We still can admire
one of his works, an oil painting picturing the Assumption in the church museum of Luz-St-Sauveur.
You will find in the house a beautiful quality of light and a pleasant range of colours, enhanced by the golden tones
of wood panels.
We have only one apartment to let. It is situated in the ground floor, so that you can take advantage of the
yard in front of the house. The first floor is vacant. The flat was recently restored. It is therefore comfortable
and easy to live. Five peoples can sleep there. For 6 peoples, it is possible to let a room and a bathroom upstairs.
The yard
In the yard situated in front of the house, you will park your car and sit on a bench in the sunshine (Note that the yard is not closed and the children have to stay under the supervision of their parents). At the right side, a small yard is out of sight. You will find it pleasant to eat outside and have a barbecue. It contains a locked cupboard to leave your skis. Finally, in the small closed yard, you can attach bicycles, dry your clothes and leave your pet during some hours.
